The last few months have been marked by many changes. In order to make your holiday as carefree as possible,
a number of measures have been taken to ensure a safe holiday in Saalbach Hinterglemm.

  • The lockdown for unvaccinated persons remains in place.
  • All information about the current entry regulations to Austria can be found HERE
  • Guests have to show a valid vaccination certificate or a confirmation of a passed COVID-19 disease upon arrival, (2-G rule).
  • The following vaccines are approved by the EMA (European Medicines Agency):
    • Vaccine Comirnaty from the manufacturer BioNTech/Pfizer.
    • Vaccine Spikevax of the manufacturer Moderna
    • Vaxzevria vaccine of the manufacturer AstraZeneca

Regulations for children

  • Children up to the age 12 do not require a proof of a low epidemiological risk. Therefore, in concert with the adjustment of the vaccination recommendation, proof of entry is not required for food service and lodging establishments.
  • Children age 12 and older require appropriate proof of low epidemiologic risk:
  • The 2.5-G rule (vaccinated, recovered or PCR test) applies for entry.
  • Analogous to the generally applicable framework conditions, 2-G proof is generally required, for example, for entry into accommodation, gastronomy, sports facilities, leisure facilities, ski lifts or at events.
  • However, for children of school age, the schools' "Ninja Pass" is equivalent to the 2-G proof:
    • If the test intervals during the week are adhered to according to the school regulations (a PCR test at least 2 times per week), the "Ninja Pass" is also valid as 2-G proof on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the respective week.
  • A special regulation is provided for the school-free period:
    •  For children of school age in Austria, who can also show a valid test proof during the school-free period from Monday to Friday (min. PCR test at least 2 times per week), this will continue to count as a 2-G proof.
    • All further details on this, in particular on documentation, are currently being worked out together with the Ministry of Health.
    • The validity period for antigen tests is 48 hours and for PCR tests 72 hours from sample collection.
    • This system should also apply to children (up to the age of 15) who travel to Austria and do not have a "Ninja Passport" during their entire stay.
  • If you have any further questions, we will be pleased to help you at the reception.

Entry requirements to austria

For entry to Austria a valid 2G proof and an additional PCR test is required.

Therefore 2G+ (vaccinated or recovered and PCR-tested) is valid for entry from all countries. Booster vaccination exempts from PCR testing.

Persons without a PCR test or booster vaccination are subject to registration and are required to maintain home quarantine until a negative PCR test result is submitted. Free testing is possible at the earliest on the 5th day with a PCR test. The day of entry is to be considered as "day zero".

For information regarding the regulations in your home country for return travelers from Austria, please contact the respective national or local authorities.
